An Introduction To The Luxury Locks Brand and Mission Statement
I first want to say thank you for visiting our site and taking a look at my company. I appreciate your time and with that being said I want for you to get to know more about this company, it's owner and what we stand by. Luxury Locks is an American based hair company that is owned and operated by an African American woman.
As an avid wearer of extensions I was growing tired of seeing terrible quality hair extension brands that are over priced with customer service to match. l was tired of buying hair that claimed to be this grade and that grade, just to have it not last 3 months. I was extremely, honestly and truly tired of buying hair online from China trying to get a deal. I remember thinking they have some good reviews so the hair must be alright or okay. I would willingly spend this money because I had known no other way to get hair extensions on a budget unless it was from the beauty supply store. Even if it was in vain after all because the bundles would last no longer then 6 months, I even thought that if I paid more money then I would get better quality hair boy, was I wrong. Then they claim that their hair is actually from Brazil, Peru, 7A Grade hair or 9 and 3/4 diamond grade. It takes forever to get to you, on top of that most of the time it smells like the Industrial Cleaning section at your local hardware store. Only to be forced to buy more within a few weeks or months, tops. What a cycle, it felt like I was throwing my money away, over and over again.
That is when I decided to start Luxury Locks a brand that people could trust and know that you are getting a top quality product that will last you at the very least a year, if you maintain the hair properly. I am a retailer selling raw, remy, Indian hair and steam processed no hair. Let me break down the terms for those who have no idea what raw, steam processed, remy and Indian hair terms mean.
The hair we carry is raw, as in it has never been processed it is just purely luxurious hair. It is not coated in any kind of silicone nor does it have any fillers. This also means that the hair is virgin because the hair is not colored in any way shape or form. It is either some type of straight, wavy or curly pattern.
Secondly, the hair is remy and has all of the entire cuticle shaft intact. What this means is our hair does not tangle or shed. Now, here let me be clear all hair sheds, even the hair on your head sheds. The difference is that with Luxury Locks we can say that our hair will never shed like a dog. This is hair that you can wear with your window or convertible top down and not have to worry about looking like you were caught in a serious windstorm. This is hair you can easily runs your fingers through and continue being fabulously red carpet ready.
Next, we have the term steam processed hair. This means exactly what it says the hair is steam processed. Now to make this more easily visible in your mind picture your typical run of the mill beauty supply store hair. This type of hair is non- remy hair that has been dipped or soaked in acids to strip the hair strands of their cuticle. This process is done to make the hair more easily manageable, that's why after you wash this type of hair a few times it becomes a matted mess. The hair is then put in to a mix of silicones and other chemical compounds like triglycerides to coat the hair. These mixed coating materials makes that particular bundle a certain pattern like straight, body wave, deep wave, for example and have different textures like Brazilian, Peruvian, etc.
At Luxury Locks all of our patterns for the steam processed line, is raw hair that has literally been steamed to get a certain pattern and texture. There are absolutely no chemicals used, so even if this hair's texture or pattern loosens up you still have beautiful raw hair.
Finally, we come to Indian hair I personally think that this part gets misconstrued or gets people confused because they just don't know any better, like how I was almost a year and a half ago. Here are the facts most, I would say that about 75% to 95% of hair that is human hair comes from India, no matter how it's donated.
Brazilian, Peruvian, Malaysian, Russian, Mongolian, South East Asian Hair (SEA Hair) is for the most part from India, they just have fancy names but they are all horribly processed hair.
Just think about it how many people have you seen with hair of those origins, now times that by 3 because it takes at least 3 bundles do to any kind of sew-in or wig. Now, don't you think that there would be a lot of bald people in the world? To actually get hair from these countries it would be insanely pricey more then any regular everyday working person to afford.
That is why I thank you again from the bottom of my heart for taking precious time out of your day to read this and understand more about Luxury Locks and what my mission/goal as a retailer, wholesaler, really just all over beauty enthusiast is.
